Author-Publishing Costs
We offer four levels of publishing to authors who can provide their material in the format we require.

What we need from the Author
In order to get your work coverted to our book reader and into the App Store on iTunes, authors need to provide the following:
- A PDF or InDesign file of your material
- A 'splash screen' for the book
- The price you want to sell at
- A description for the iTunes App Store
- A small icon for the iPhone
- A large icon for the iTunes App Store
A PDF or InDesign file of your material
The iPhone display is 320 wide x 480 high in pixels - in InDesign terms this is 26p8 wide x 40p0 high. For readability you need to ensure the font sizes are large enough for the device, we use 30 point fonts for titles and 20 point for the general text. Images and illustrations are also usually ok providing they are of suitable quality and don't result in a huge file size. We recommend you keep the PDF size under 8MB which is fine for most books.
A 'splash screen' for the book
This is a 320x480 pixel image displayed whilst the book is 'loading' once a user has launched it. We use the same image as the cover art on the first page of the book, except we add the phrase loading...
The price of your book
Apple allow you to set prices from free to $999! Each price ends in .99 so you can sell for .99, 1.99, 2.99 and beyond. We can only offer books for free via our platinum service.

Apple need a 512x512 pixel image for the iTunes App Store. This should be in JPG format.
